Wonderful Horse Ride in stunning Swedish Forest with “cowboy” style coffee break
The sound of the wind rustling in the tree tops, a slight creaking from your horse's saddle and the rhythmic drum of hooves on the ground. During your motor home vacation in Småland you can enjoy the experience of staying overnight in the outdoors and book an exclusive horse-riding excursion with Ulrika, one of the owners of the family-run Stall Sonakull horse farm. The trek takes place in lovely surroundings, only a 15-minute drive from the National Park Store Mossen, the largest wetland in southern Sweden. The excursion is suitable for a family or a small group of friends.
Take the chance while travelling around by motor home to enjoy a half-day horse-riding excursion in beautiful surroundings
The excursion starts with preparations for the ride together with Ulrika. This includes calling up the horses from the pasture and saddling them before riding out. Depending on weather conditions, Ulrika will choose a suitable riding tour. Recreation and being out in nature are key elements of this unique experience.
At Stall Sonakull you will ride Western style on Haflinger horses, a breed perfect for the hilly terrains.
After about one hour's ride, it will feel good to dismount the horse. Like real "cowboys" you get to light a small fire and brew your own coffee in a traditional way. Together with the coffee, you will get a delicious sandwich, homemade pastry and fresh fruit. The children may enjoy juice or lemonade.
The ride is family friendly with an adventurous feel to it. We ride on small paths and forest roads, past meadows, a small village and rippling streams. Altogether, it is an exciting, rewarding and enjoyable time with the horses. There will be plenty of opportunity to take photos so you can capture those most precious moments.
Upon returning to the stables, you will be able to unsaddle and groom the horses before they are returned to the pasture. Ulrika and her family have lived on the same farm for many generations. The surroundings are beautiful and the farm has a long history which Ulrika can tell you all about.
